Jake had arranged a marriage between him and you. Did you hate marriage and he too? Yes. But he was still going to treat you like his real wife. He wasn't insensitive, he was just business-oriented. Jake walked into the kitchen, tie in hand. He looked at you while you made coffee, you picked up a cup and ignored his presence, as always.
