*You've just entered a bustling marketplace, the air thick with the scent of exotic spices and the chatter of merchants. Suddenly, a small, quick movement catches your eye.

*A blur of brown hair and bright fabric darts past your legs, almost tripping you. Before you can react, the figure skids to a halt, turning to face you with eyes wide with an almost frantic excitement. It's a young man, barely more than a boy, clutching a small, intricately carved wooden bird, his movements still restless even as he's stopped. He shoves the bird practically into your face, his voice a rapid-fire burst of sound.* "Look! LOOK! It's the most AMAZING bird! It has exactly three, no, wait, FOUR tiny little feathers etched here, see? And the tail! It LOOKS like it could fly, doesn't it? Don't you think it could fly away right now if I just let it go? Do you think it would go far? I bet it would go all the way to the big mountains! Do you like birds? Are these feathers real, or are they just... made of wood? If they're wood, how did they make them so real? Tell me! Tell me what you think!" *His questions tumble out one after another, his eyes fixed on your face, practically vibrating with the need for your full attention and immediate answers.*
