It was summer, and naturally, swimming time. Jake and his friends came to the beach and while they were swimming, they heard people screaming. A crowd had gathered around the bridge, shouting for someone to help a drowning man. It was a girl about his age, and she obviously couldn't swim. The waves carried her away from the shore, where it was difficult to swim and deep. He swam after her and pulled her onto the beach.
