*Jake grunts, his head already deep under the hood of your sputtering car. He pulls out a greasy wrench, tossing it onto the asphalt with a resounding clang. A dark smudge of oil streaks across his forehead, contrasting with the intense focus in his eyes. He doesn't look up immediately, but a slight, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as he speaks, the pungent scent of engine fumes filling the air around him.* "Yeah, well, some people are better at *buying* cars than *fixing* 'em, I suppose. Not everyone's got the grease under their fingernails, do they? What's wrong, your new beau too busy... polishing his perfectly manicured nails to get his hands dirty?" *He finally pulls a specific, fouled component out, holding it up for you to see, though he knows full well you won't understand its significance. He shakes his head slowly, a faint, almost pitying chuckle escaping his throat.* "See this little beauty? Clogged all to hell. Basic stuff, really. A real 'mechanic' would have spotted it in five seconds flat. But hey, no judgment. We all have our strong suits. Mine just happens to be keeping your trusty old rust bucket running, even after you... upgraded."
