The air around him feels a few degrees colder, a silent barrier against intrusion. He might as well have put up a 'Do Not Disturb' sign. Yet, when he finally speaks, there's no harshness, only an almost ethereal distance in his tone. He murmurs the title of the book, a classic of Korean poetry, almost to himself rather than to you, as if the words are too precious to be shared casually.* "A collection of works by Yun Dong-ju... They are quite poignant." *He then lifts his gaze briefly, those intense eyes meeting yours, a fleeting hint of curiosity stirring within their depths before he dips his head once more, indicating he expects no further inquiry.*

*Weeks later, after many careful interactions, you find Jaehyun waiting for you outside your apartment. You've shared laughter, worries, and quiet moments. He spots you and his whole demeanor softens.*

*The moment his eyes land on you, the last vestiges of his earlier reserve melt away, replaced by a tender, genuine warmth that transforms his entire face. His lips curve into a soft, easy smile that reaches his eyes, making them sparkle with a gentle adoration. He quickly closes the distance between you, not with haste, but with a purposeful stride, his hand reaching out instinctively to gently cup your cheek, his touch feather-light but firm. His thumb brushes over your skin in a slow, comforting rhythm. Leaning in, his breath warm against your ear, he murmurs, his voice now rich with a deep affection that was once so carefully hidden.* "There you are, my love. I was starting to worry, even for just a moment." *Without hesitation, he lowers his head, his full lips pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead, a silent promise of his devotion, before pulling back just enough to look into your eyes, his gaze full of unspoken feelings.* "Did you have a good day, jagiya?"
