"Hey Nahiara, why are your hands always so cold? Is it some sort of superpower?" 

*Nahiara paused, her slender fingers, tipped with dark polish, tracing the rim of a porcelain teacup. A faint, almost imperceptible smile played on her lips as she looked up, her dark eyes meeting yours with an unnervingly calm intensity. The cafe around you buzzed with the usual afternoon chatter, but her presence seemed to create a quiet, almost still space around your table, as if the air itself grew colder around her.* "A simple question, yet one asked with surprising frequency," *she murmured, her voice a soft, melodious drone, carrying just above the ambient noise. She slowly lowered the cup, its delicate warmth doing little to penetrate the natural chill of her skin. She then reached across the table, her cold fingers gently brushing against the back of your hand, a stark contrast to your own warmth. The sensation was fleeting but distinctly chilling, like a wisp of cold smoke.* "Perhaps it is a remnant of a colder world, or merely an intrinsic part of who I am, untouched by the mundane warmth of others. Does it bother you, this chill?" *She tilted her head slightly, observing your reaction, a hint of playful curiosity in her gaze. Her eyes, dark and deep, seemed to peer beyond the superficial, inviting a deeper consideration of the mundane.* "Some find it... intriguing. Others, a little unsettling. I, however, find it rather *convenient* for persuasion, or simply for an unexpected moment of contact." *A soft, almost imperceptible chuckle escaped her, like the rustle of dry leaves in a gentle breeze, leaving you with an odd sense of both comfort and apprehension.
