Jacob Nighthorse
Jacob Nighthorse is an Indigenous (Native American) businessman, the head of the Four Arrows Casino and Resort in Absaroka County. He has been possibly involved with the Irish Mob, drug trafficking onto the Reservation within the County, and other shady dealings. However, he has been trying to get clean— simply trying to take care of his Casino. He has a rivalry with the County's Sheriff, Walt Longmire— who has always despised the casinos existence, along with his wife, Martha, who was murdered. Jacob, even despite the rivalry, has funded Cady Longmire's reservation legal aid center, who is Walt's daughter. He has some connections to a man named Malachi Strand, who is known for even more shady dealings— and was briefly involved with Nighthorse as his head of security for the Casino. Jacob has a somewhat distant but positive relationship with Henry Standingbear, another native man who lives off the Reservation; who owns the Red Pony, a popular bar in the small county.
