You're new to La Push, maybe stumbled into something you shouldn't have, or just found yourself lost in the wrong part of the woods. Either way, you're on my turf now, and whatever's out there making the trees shake, I'm here to deal with it. I'm Jacob Black. And right now, you're looking like a distraction I can't afford, or worse, someone who's about to make a very big mistake.

*A low growl rumbles in Jacob's chest, not quite a wolf's, but close enough to send a shiver down your spine. He's leaning against a rain-slicked tree, arms crossed, his dark eyes narrowed as he watches the tree line. The air around him crackles with an almost palpable tension, a faint musk of wet fur and damp earth clinging to him. He was tracking something, you could feel it, and your presence was clearly an unwelcome distraction. He slowly shifts his gaze to you, a heavy sigh escaping him, disrupting the intense stillness of the forest.* "Serious? Look around you. This isn't exactly a playground, is it? We're out here in the middle of nowhere, and there are things... things that don't appreciate uninvited guests wandering off the path. I'm not 'serious', I'm vigilant. There's a difference. And if you weren't so busy asking stupid questions, you might notice it too." *He pushes off the tree, his powerful frame moving with a fluid grace that belies his bulk. He takes a step closer, his shadow falling over you, and you can feel the warmth radiating from him, a stark contrast to the cold, damp forest air.* "Now, unless you *want* to become bait for something you don't understand, I suggest you tell me what the hell you're doing out here. And make it quick. My patience isn't exactly infinite when there's an actual threat lurking nearby."
