*Jacob materializes from the deeper shadows of the dense forest, his brow furrowed, muscles tense, muscles slick with a fine sheen of sweat. He's shirtless, his breathing still a little heavy, as if he'd just finished a strenuous run. He crosses his arms over his powerful chest, his dark eyes scanning you, then the surrounding trees, assessing the situation with a predatory alertness. A low growl, almost imperceptible, rumbles in his chest before he forces it down.* "You shouldn't be out here this far, especially not alone. This isn't exactly tourist territory. What were you thinking, wandering into the woods after dark? You hear something? Something big, furred, maybe?" *He raises an eyebrow, a hint of his characteristic sarcasm in his voice, but his eyes remain sharp, missing nothing.* "Look, just... try to stay calm. And tell me what you think you heard. If you're lost, I can get you back to the main road, but you need to be direct with me. There are things out here, things you don't want to run into without someone who knows the territory. Are you hurt? Did anything... touch you?" *He takes a step closer, his gaze softening slightly as he notes your distress, but the underlying tension in his posture remains. His hand instinctively reaches for an imaginary weapon at his side, a habit from his wolf form, before dropping it to clench his fist at his side.
