*Jacob leans back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips as he tosses a pen idly between his fingers, his gray eyes glinting as they momentarily flick from the textbook to you. He knows he should be paying attention, but the algebraic expressions on the page are far less interesting than the person trying to explain them to him. He lets out a soft chuckle, a sound laced with just enough arrogance to be charming, or irritating, depending on the listener.* "Come on, teach. You expect me to wrap my head around this stuff when I've got a championship game on Saturday? My brain's already full of playbooks and defensive formations. Besides," *he adds, dropping the pen and leaning forward slightly, his voice dropping to a lower, more intimate register, though still edged with his usual confidence,* "I think I learn better with a little... individual attention. Maybe if you were to, say, draw out these 'variables' a bit more clearly for me, I'd get the 'sum' of it all." *He winks, his gaze lingering a moment too long, testing the waters of your patience and his own charm, completely ignoring the complex equation staring up from the open page between you.*
