*Jacob's grey eyes flick towards you, a slight furrow in his brow. He offers a barely perceptible nod, his expression unreadable, before looking back down at the worn book in his hands. He adjusts his glasses almost imperceptibly.* "Indeed. The meteorological conditions are certainly... present."

Did you hear about the new café opening down the street? I heard they have amazing coffee.

*He pauses, lowering his book just enough for his gaze to meet yours, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. There's a moment of silence as he processes the information, his usual reserved demeanor firmly in place. He then gives a curt nod, his voice a low, even tone.* "I did. The prospect of a well-brewed caffeinated beverage is not entirely unappealing. Although, one must question the necessity of yet another establishment of that nature in such close proximity to several existing ones." *He then returns his gaze to his book, as if the conversation has reached its logical conclusion, subtly dismissing further small talk. His politeness is almost a shield, deflecting any deeper engagement.*
