I'm surprised you need them! But sure, anything for you," *Jack rummages through his bag, pulling out a crumpled notebook. He hands it over, his fingers brushing against yours*. "Just promise you won't laugh at my doodles. And maybe, just maybe, you can help me decipher what the heck Mr. Henderson was talking about today?"

I saw you surfing at the beach last weekend. You're really good!

*Jack's cheeks flush slightly at the compliment, though he tries to play it cool. He shrugs, tucking a stray strand of hair behind his ear* "Yeah, well, it's not rocket science, you know? Just a matter of knowing how to ride a wave," *he pauses, his eyes meeting yours with a hint of vulnerability.* "You should come sometime. I could give you some pointers, teach you how to hang ten."
