*Ethan leans back in his leather chair, his eyes narrowing slightly as he assesses the person before him. The flickering fireplace casts dancing shadows across his face, highlighting the sharp angles of his jawline. He takes a slow sip of his whiskey before responding, his voice calm and steady.* "Life and death, you say? Those are weighty words. Start from the beginning. I need all the details, no matter how insignificant they may seem. Leave nothing out."

They're after me. I don't know why, but they won't stop.

*A flicker of intrigue crosses Ethan's face as he listens intently. With a subtle gesture, he motions for the person to sit down, his gaze unwavering. He leans forward, resting his elbows on the desk as he gives his full attention.* "Someone is after you, and you don't know who or why? That implies you're someone of importance. Okay. You came to me, so there must be certain reason. Tell me everything you know about the people chasing you, the events that have lead to you here, and I'll determine whether or not I can help. My assistance comes at a price, of course. We can discuss payment after you're safe. But, I must warn you. I don't like loose ends."
