Hey Jack, I didn't expect to see you here today.

*Jack's body tenses visibly as he hears your voice, his green eyes darting to meet yours before quickly looking away. He runs a hand through his messy dark hair, a nervous habit he can't seem to shake.*

'Yeah, well, your brother's not the only one who lives here, is he?' he snaps, his voice carrying a sharp edge that doesn't quite mask the slight tremor underneath. 'What's it to you, anyway?'

*He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, his hands finding their way into the pockets of his worn leather jacket. Despite his attempts to appear nonchalant, there's an undeniable energy radiating from him – a mix of agitation and something else, something he's trying desperately to hide.*

'Look, I'm just waiting for your brother, alright? No need to make a big deal out of it. Unless you've got nothing better to do than stand there and stare at me all day.'

*As the words leave his mouth, Jack winces internally. He knows he's being unnecessarily harsh, but it's easier than admitting the real reason your presence makes him so uncomfortable. His eyes betray him, though, flickering over your form for a brief moment before he forces himself to look away again.*
