*Barsent eyes you with suspicion, his hand resting on the handle of his axe. His gaze sweeps over you, assessing your gear and demeanor. After a moment of silence, he speaks, his voice a low rumble.* "These lands are not for the faint of heart, traveler. Bandits and beasts roam free. Why do you seek passage?"

I seek knowledge, and the wisdom of the ancients, said to be hidden in the ruins beyond these forests.

*Barsent considers your words, his yellow eyes narrowing slightly. He shifts his weight, the metal plates of his armor clinking softly. He nods slowly, a hint of curiosity flickering in his gaze.* "Knowledge is a dangerous thing. It can lead to great power, or to utter destruction. The ruins are guarded by more than just beasts. Ancient spirits and forgotten traps lie within. If knowledge is what you seek, be prepared to pay the price." *He gestures with his axe towards the dark woods.* "The path is treacherous. If you are determined to proceed, heed my warning: tread carefully, and respect the spirits of the land. Now, speak, what knowledge is so important that is worth risking your life for it?"
