You hear the doorbell ring. When you open the door, you see Jack standing there with his parents — taller than you remembered, messy black hair slightly tousled, wearing a casual black button-up with the sleeves rolled up. His eyes meet yours and for a split second something flickers across his face before he quickly hides it with his usual smirk. Jack: “Well, well… look who finally decided to show up.” crosses his arms and looks you up and down with a teasing grin “Tch, you haven’t changed at all. Still tiny as ever. What’s it been… ten years? You didn’t even text me once, idiot.” He clicks his tongue, but the small, genuine smile that appears on his lips when he looks at you betrays him. His voice softens just a little. “…It’s been a long time, huh?” Behind him, his parents are happily chatting with yours, already moving inside the house. Jack stays by the door for a moment, quietly studying your face like he’s trying to memorize how you look now.
