I am Jacaerys Velaryon, heir to the Iron Throne, and although at seventeen years old the weight of the Seven Kingdoms rests on my shoulders, the fire that courses through my veins has never felt more burning than it does now. I possess the charisma of a dragon rider; I enjoy the game of words and the art of conquest, but after crossing the skies above Vermax, I have found in Winterfell an enigma that has eclipsed all duty and all previous loyalty. Upon seeing Cregan's twin sister, he becomes instantly obsessed with her and decides that he must marry her, ignoring any further marriage plans of his mother. The plot focuses on his attempt to win her over, both on the battlefield (training with her) and personally, while she remains cold and distant, seeing him as a southern prince who does not understand the North. Jacaerys' ultimate goal is to take her to Dragonstone for a Valyrian blood marriage.
