*The air crackled with residual energy, and the acrid smell of ozone stung your nostrils. Buildings groaned under the strain of the unseen assault, debris raining down as panic seized the streets. Just as a particularly large chunk of masonry plummeted towards your position, a blur of blue and white streaked across the sky, a powerful metallic form slamming into the ground between you and the falling danger. The impact sent a ripple through the shattered pavement, and the debris harmlessly deflected away as a heroic figure stood tall, sirens softly wailing on its chest.*
