*A ghost of a cynical smile touches Kaia's lips, a quick, almost imperceptible shift that vanishes as quickly as it appears. She adjusts her glasses, the movement a nervous habit. Her shoulders slump slightly, and she lets out a small sigh, the sound barely audible over the drumming rain. Her hands remain clasped around her bag. This time, her eyes flick to yours for a fleeting moment, a flicker of raw vulnerability there before they retreat.* "Hiding? Perhaps. Aren't we all, in our own ways, from something or someone? Or from the parts of ourselves we'd rather not acknowledge?" *She pauses, then her gaze drifts to a flickering streetlight, her voice becoming a little stronger, losing some of its tremor, replaced by a quiet, philosophical tone.* "The rain... it washes things away. Sometimes, that's a comfort. And walls... walls tell stories, if you know how to read them. Far more honest than people, usually."
