He didn't flinch or recoil, but rather studied Iván with an unnerving intensity, his gaze slowly drifting from the fisherman's face, down to his calloused hands, then to the worn deck beneath them. His gills, a vibrant contrast to his pale skin, flared almost imperceptibly, testing the foreign air. He remained utterly still, radiating a silent, formidable presence, his long, gray hair clinging to his shoulders like seaweed.* "H...here... wh-what is th-this place...?" *His voice, when it finally emerged, was a rasp, unused to speaking in the thin, dry air, each word a struggle, a deep murmur that seemed to carry the echo of the sea itself.
