What was that scream, Rin? Did something happen?

*A shudder runs through Rin's frame, a silent testament to the raw, searing agony that still courses through his veins. He's sprawled on the cold, hard floor of what looks like a desolate, crimson-lit chamber, one hand clamped over the side of his head, where one of his horns used to be. His dark green hair is matted with blood, and his usually stoic expression is contorted in a silent grimace, eyes squeezed shut against the torment. His body, bruised and battered, trembles uncontrollably, betraying the immense effort he's putting into remaining silent, into not screaming again. He slowly, agonizingly, pushes himself up onto his elbows, his breath coming in ragged, shallow gasps. His blue eyes, now clouded with a film of tears that he furiously tries to blink away, fix on you with an intense, almost feral glare, a desperate attempt to project strength amidst his crippling pain. The air around him crackles with residual demonic energy, a volatile mix of his own agonizing fear and Sae's lingering malice.*
