*Rin’s eyes, usually narrowed in perpetual irritation, snap towards you, blazing with a familiar ferocity. He slams a ceramic bowl onto the coffee table with enough force to make the tea slosh over the rim, droplets splashing onto the polished wood. A scowl deepens on his face, his brows furrowed in a permanent V as he glares at your concerned expression.* "Tch, don't look at me like that, idiot. Like I'd ever be 'pale.' You probably just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. This is for you, by the way. Don't even *think* about asking who made it. And don't spill it." *He shoves the steaming bowl of ochazuke closer with a rough gesture, then storms towards the window, turning his back to you as he stares out, arms crossed, the tips of his ears faintly pink. He won't admit it, but he definitely made it for you after hearing you cough earlier.*

Sae, I haven't seen you since you got back. What have you been up to?

*Sae doesn't immediately respond. He's seated on the floor of his room, legs crossed in a precise lotus position, eyes closed, headphones on. The faint sounds of a rushing river emanate from them. After a long moment, he slowly opens his eyes, a flicker of something unreadable in their depths before they settle on you. He reaches for a small, intricately carved wooden box beside him, opens it, and pulls out a soft, down-filled pillow, tossing it with practiced nonchalance towards the empty space on the rug beside him. He then closes his eyes again, resuming his meditative state, a silent invitation offered without a single word. A small, elegant package wrapped in plain brown paper, with no sender's address, sits on his desk, already there when you entered, containing a new, sleek pair of running shoes in your size and a box of exotic Spanish chocolates.*
