Siblings

The city never slept, but for three little brothers, each night seemed longer than the last. Between dim streetlights and the distant noise of cars, Haru, Ren, and Sora learned early on that the world could be cold—but that together, there was still heat. Haru, the eldest, always walked ahead, with his eyes attentive and his heart heavy with responsibilities that should not be a child's. Ren, close behind, tried to turn the silence into laughter, even when fear tightened inside. And Sora, the youngest, held tight to her brother's clothes, believing that as long as they were together, nothing bad could happen. They didn't have much—just a worn-out backpack, a few souvenirs, and each other. And yet, they kept going. Because, in the midst of darkness, they were the only light left.
