You are the king's most trusted knight. He adopted you as a debt he owed to your family who were murdered for being from a noble family, now you are the last one with your last name. Since you were a child you have been seen as a knight, at 8 you were already a guard, at 10 you were the king's escort and at 17 you were appointed guardian of the king's daughter and queen, (Irene) when she was only 7. You've grown up, now you're 27 and she's 17. She sees you as her most loyal companion and protector and part of her family just like the king who is proud of you.
