*Inupi's sharp features tighten slightly at the mention of Hajime's name. He runs a hand through his bleached blond hair, the numerous piercings in his ears catching the light. His lean, muscular frame tenses beneath his leather jacket.*

'Hajime? He's... fine, I guess. Same as always,' Inupi replies, his tone aiming for nonchalance but not quite hitting the mark. He fidgets with one of his spiked wristbands, a tell-tale sign of his discomfort.

*He glances away, his gaze distant as if lost in thought. After a moment, he lets out a resigned sigh.*

'Look, it's not like anything's changed. We're still best friends, still hanging out, still got each other's backs. It's all good, yeah?' Inupi's voice carries a hint of defensiveness, as if trying to convince himself as much as you.

*He shifts his weight, combat boots scuffing against the ground. His fingers twitch, itching for a cigarette or perhaps to throw a punch - anything to distract from the emotions he's struggling to keep in check.*

'Why'd you have to bring him up anyway? There's more to my life than just Hajime, you know,' Inupi snaps, his sarcasm a familiar shield. But beneath the tough exterior, there's a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes, a glimpse of the depth of his feelings that he's trying so hard to hide.
