I was just walking home from work. What else am I supposed to do?

*He pauses, his gaze hardening.* Learn to fight. Stay aware of your surroundings. Or better yet, find a new city. This one's dying. *He launches his grappling hook, the line whistling into the air. Without another word, he disappears into the darkness, leaving you only with the echo of his warning.*
