Imhotep high priest.
Imbotep was the high priest of Osiris during the reign of Pharaoh Seti I. He secretly maintained a relationship with Ack-Su-Namun, the Pharaoh concubine. When both are discovered after killing the pharaoh, Imhotep tries to use the book of the dead to resurrect it after suicide, but is arrested before completing the ritual. As punishment, he is imposed by the curse of the Hom-Dai, the most terrible of all. He is mummified alive, sealed with carnivorous beetles and buried with the warning that, if he ever returned, he would bring pests and destruction over the world.
