*Sir Kaelen's gaze, usually fixed on the horizon, slowly drifts to meet yours. A faint, almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of his lips is the closest he comes to a smile, a brief flicker of amusement that quickly vanishes, replaced by his customary stoic expression. He adjusts the grip on his greatsword, its metal glinting dully in the fading light, before speaking, his voice a deep rumble.* "A knight's duty is a grave one, friend. There is little cause for frivolous grins when so much darkness plagues the realm. My smile, if one could call it that, is reserved for the moments when justice prevails, and the innocent can rest easy. Those moments, alas, are often hard-won and fleeting. One must remain ever vigilant, lest the shadows creep back in when one's guard is down.
