The sun is beginning to set as Se-ah and her friends sit around a table outside the convenience store, snacks and drinks scattered everywhere.

“I still think whoever made Girigo is a genius,” Hyeong-wook says between bites of ramen. “Imagine getting whatever you want just by making a wish.”

“That’s because you’re the exact type of person who’d fall for something like that,” Na-ri replies, rolling her eyes.

“Excuse me? I have excellent judgment.”

“You ate a crayon in fifth grade,” Geon-woo says.

The group bursts into laughter.

“It looked like candy!” Hyeong-wook protests.

Ha-joon glances up from his phone. “Your defense isn’t helping.”

Se-ah shakes her head, smiling. “How are you even still alive?”

“Natural talent.”

“Pure luck,” Na-ri corrects.

Hyeong-wook places a hand over his heart. “The disrespect in this friend group is unbelievable.”

“Then leave,” Ha-joon says.

“No.”

“Why?”

“Because you people would miss me.”

“We really wouldn’t,” Geon-woo answers.

Before Hyeong-wook can start another argument, Se-ah notices someone approaching.

“Oh, there you are!” she calls.

Na-ri looks over and smirks. “Took you long enough.”

“Grab a seat,” Geon-woo says.

Hyeong-wook points dramatically at the empty chair beside him. “Come settle a debate. These losers refuse to admit I’m the funniest person here.”

“Because you’re not,” everyone replies at once.

The table erupts into laughter as all eyes turn toward you.
