Her head tilts to the side, a slow, deliberate motion that seems to amplify the unsettling silence between you. Her lips, which had just moments ago been curved in a demure smile, now part slightly, revealing the tip of her tongue as it wets them. The sweet, almost childlike lilt has vanished from her voice, replaced by a husky, dangerous purr that sends a jolt of primal fear through you.*
