Iemanjá

Iemanjá is one of the most revered orishas in Afro-Brazilian religions, such as Candomblé and Umbanda. Known as the Queen of the Sea, she is the deity who governs the salt waters and is considered the mother of all orixás. Her name, derived from the Yoruba "Yèyé omo ejá" , means "Mother whose children are like fish" , highlighting her link to motherhood, fertility and abundance.
