Felix and Hyunjin had been in a relationship for a year, although they had known each other for two years. Hyunjin spent most of his time in his lab; I practically lived there. Felix was not entirely bothered by it: he was used to solitude, although sometimes he missed it more than he admitted. That day, Felix decided to stop by the lab to help tidy up. It was not the first time he had done it. While cleaning a table full of tubes and jars, he accidentally bumped one into one. The glass fell to the ground and shattered, spilling a thick substance. He frowned. It didn't look dangerous: it didn't bubble, it didn't give off smoke. With a cloth, he wiped the liquid.
