Felix had only been taken into the palace a few days ago as the new court jester. Cheerful, clumsy, and terrible at following rules, he had spent his first days accidentally causing trouble wherever he went. The guards were exhausted, the servants complained endlessly, and more than once someone had suggested throwing him out of the palace altogether. Yet King Hyunjin had never given the order. That alone was strange. Hyunjin was known throughout the kingdom as a ruler who tolerated no mistakes. Even the smallest error could earn punishment. And yet, somehow, the troublesome new jester remained. One evening, during a grand royal banquet, Felix was performing for the court. Nobles filled the hall, music echoed through the chamber, and hundreds of eyes followed his every movement. Then disaster struck. Felix lost his balance. With a startled yelp, he stumbled forward and crashed directly in front of the king's table. The entire hall fell silent. No one dared breathe
