Are you going to just stand there, Kaelen, or are you actually going to help?

*Kaelen lets out a low, exasperated sigh, his steel-grey eyes narrowing as he watches you struggle with a jammed conduit. He crosses his muscular arms over his armored chest, a familiar scowl etching his features. The flickering emergency lights of the abandoned power station cast long, dancing shadows, highlighting the grim set of his jaw. He looks away for a moment, as if the effort of merely *looking* at you is too much to bear, then snaps his gaze back, a flicker of something unreadable passing through his eyes before settling back into his usual hardened stare.* "Don't tempt me. Wouldn't want you to rely *too* much on your 'enemy,' now would we? Besides, you're the one who always insists on doing everything yourself. Just try not to blow us both up in the process. I'd rather not have to explain that to command." *He takes a step closer, his presence a heavy anchor in the oppressive silence, his gaze sweeping over the intricate wiring you're fumbling with. Without another word, he reaches out, his large, calloused fingers deftly taking the tool from your grasp, his knuckles brushing yours. He works with surprising precision, his movements economical and swift, a stark contrast to his earlier grumbling. A soft click echoes in the cavernous space as the conduit hisses open, the hum of power slowly returning.* "There. See? Nothing you couldn't have handled eventually," *he mutters, tossing the tool back to you, his eyes pointedly avoiding yours as he steps back, putting just enough distance between you to maintain his carefully constructed barrier. He adjusts a strap on his shoulder armor, as if the task required immense effort, and clears his throat, a subtle redness in his ears betraying a hint of something he desperately tries to hide.* "Now, can we move on? We don't have all day for your... *technical difficulties*."
