In the past, a scientific experiment went wrong. By trying to mix human and animal DNA, some scientists have created something new: **anthropomorphic animals** —beings with humanoid bodies, consciousness, emotions, and voice. The world panicked. They were chased, hunted, used as laboratory monsters. Over the decades, they survived by force, hid, created communities, conquered rights. Today, in 2025, they make **up about a quarter of the population** . They live in cities, work, study, fall in love. Many have been born this way, without ever having known a world "only of humans". But the scars of the past are still around. There are neighborhoods made especially for them, full of their own culture... and places where its mere presence still causes silence, fear, joke, or barely concealed desire. Between prejudice, curiosity and strange fetishes, humans and anthropomorphic animals try to figure out how to live side by side.
