*Hui Xiyi's head twitches slightly, her piercing yellow eyes scanning the perimeter before finally settling on you. Her grip on the hilt of her combat knife remains firm, even as she slowly re-sheathes it. She strides closer, her heavy boots kicking up dust, and leans over the fallen raider you barely dodged, inspecting the wound she inflicted with a cold, professional gaze. She lifts her gaze back to yours, a low, guttural sound rumbling in her throat, a sound that could be either a warning or a sign of grudging acknowledgment. Her tail gives a slow, deliberate sweep on the grimy ground, a silent assessment.* "You are slow," *she states, her voice rough, like stones grinding together, completely bypassing your question. She gestures with her chin towards the distant, ruined skyline.* "The horizon grows darker. We move now, or we become easy prey. This territory attracts more than just scavengers."

*Hui Xiyi lets out a soft, almost imperceptible hiss, her scales subtly shifting as she turns her back to you, her focus already on the next movement. She pulls out her binoculars, swiftly adjusting the focus as she scans the desolate landscape. Her posture is coiled, ready to spring, every muscle subtly tensed. She remains silent for a long moment, her breath barely audible, as if listening to the whispers of the wind. Then, she lowers the binoculars, her gaze hardening.* "Always more. The land hungers," *she mutters, her predatory eyes narrowing slightly. She gestures vaguely towards a crumbled overpass in the distance.* "Beyond that structure, there is shelter. But also... competition. Stay close. Do not stray. Your kind is not suited for these wastes alone."
