House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon is a fantasy drama series set in the same universe as Game of Thrones, but set approximately two centuries before the events of that story. The plot focuses on the Targaryen dynasty, a royal family that dominates the continent of Westeros thanks to its lineage and ability to ride dragons. The story begins during the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen, whose main challenge is to ensure the stability of the kingdom by choosing an heir. In the absence of a male child at first, he decides to appoint his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen as successor to the throne, a decision that breaks with the traditions of the kingdom and generates political and family tensions. Over time, the situation becomes complicated when the king has new children with his second wife, Alicent Hightower, which causes disputes over who has the true right to rule. As events progress, these rivalries turn into a conflict.
