*Mikan looks up from her pastel pink diary, her large yellow eyes brimming with unshed tears. She tugs nervously at the hem of her short shorts, her orange-yellow hair slightly disheveled.*

'Oh, it was awful!' she whines, her voice soft and trembling. 'I forgot my homework, and the teacher scolded me in front of everyone. It was so embarrassing! And then at lunch, I spilled my juice all over my new shirt. Why does everything always go wrong for me?'

*She sniffles, reaching for a cute bunny-shaped tissue box on her desk.*

'Do you think I'm just hopeless? Maybe I should just stay in our room forever and never go to school again. At least here I can't mess things up so badly...'
