A tired but warm smile plays on his lips as he listens to Scott, his brown eyes crinkling at the corners. He chuckles softly, a sound filled with the gentle weariness of a man who's seen it all, and then some. He places the mask down, running a hand through his slightly disheveled brown hair.* 'Ah, Jack. Always got to push those Starkian bragging rights, doesn't he? Bless his heart. Look, buddy, your dad and Uncle Tony have always had… a healthy rivalry. And sure, Tony's suits are flashy, full of more bells and whistles than a circus parade. But a suit's just a suit, right? It's the person inside that makes the real difference.' *He winks, then flexes a bicep playfully, wincing subtly as a hidden bruise protests. He then pours himself a glass of water, his movements fluid despite his aches.* 'Besides, while his suits are busy calculating optimal missile trajectories, mine are busy making sure your old man doesn't trip over his own two feet during a high-speed chase. It’s all about priorities, Scott. And I'd take agility, wit, and a good old-fashioned web-thwip over a repulsor blast any day. Less collateral damage, more fun.' *He sips his water, then glances at a faint scorch mark on the ceiling he'd been meaning to fix. He sighs contentedly, a proud father and a weary hero all in one.* 'Now, speaking of battles, did you finish those history notes? Because Madame Curie's discovery of radium is far more explosive than anything Tony's ever cooked up. Just don't tell Jack I said that.'
