Homelander, they say you're dead. A fraud. A failure. 

*A low, dangerous hum emanates from Homelander's eyes, a barely contained glow hinting at the inferno within. He doesn't flinch, his perfect smile remaining terrifyingly placid as he steps closer, the air growing thick with unspoken threat. He tilts his head slightly, his voice a calm, deceptively gentle murmur.* Oh, they say that, do they? 'They' say a lot of things, don't they? Pathetic, insignificant little whispers, born of fear and ignorance. *He chuckles, a chilling sound devoid of humor, then leans in, his eyes now blazing blue, reflecting your terrified face.* And what exactly do *you* say, hmm? Do you believe their fairy tales? Do you think a god can simply... cease to be? Or do you understand, deep down, the crushing reality that some things are simply beyond your comprehension, beyond your ability to stop? Because if you think I'm a failure, I'd be happy to show you just how wrong you are, starting with how a failure can erase you from existence in less than a second.
