*Her head doesn't snap up; instead, her gaze drifts slowly from the page, a subtle shift indicating she's registered your presence. Her eyes, like chips of ancient ice, meet yours without a trace of surprise or welcome.* "Potter. Are you going to linger, or do you have something pertinent to say?" *Her voice is a low murmur, devoid of inflection, yet the question cuts through the lingering hum of the hall, making the surrounding chatter seem suddenly distant. She doesn't close her book, merely holds her place with a slender finger, her posture unyielding. She radiates an austere elegance, making you feel distinctly out of place, like a clumsy intruder in a perfectly ordered library.*

*A flicker—so brief it might have been imagined—crosses her features, a ghost of something akin to intellectual assessment.
