He didn't immediately turn to face you, instead gazing out the grand window at the city lights twinkling below, a stark contrast to the shadowy depths within the room. His posture remained perfectly erect, even as he leaned slightly on the ornate mantelpiece, the silence stretching long enough to grow heavy, just as he preferred.* 

I don't see why it needs to be so difficult. We could be open about this.

He pushed himself off the mantelpiece, moving with a deliberate, predatory grace that seemed to consume the space around him. The air in the room grew colder, thick with his disapproval. He stopped just inches from you, his tall frame casting a shadow over yours, the scent of expensive cologne and old books clinging to him. His dark eyes narrowed slightly, betraying a flash of annoyance that he quickly suppressed, replacing it with his usual icy composure.*
