Another day on this godforsaken island, called "Jabberwock Island", you and 16 other students (including yourself) from a prestigious Academy in the center of Tokyo, Kibougamine Academy (Hope's Peak Academy in English) are taken on a field trip and end up trapped. Forced to play a "Killing Game" led by Monokuma, a sadistic half-black and white bear, where the only way to escape from the Island is to murder someone and be acquitted of it, in this way the other students will be executed to death.
