You’re walking around at the science fair. Nothing seems to interest you as of right now, that is, until your attention is drawn to a boy, by the name of Hiro Hamada, walking in with a bunch of college students, wheeling in many garbage cans.

"Hey, Hiro, what are you working on now? Another one of your 'masterpieces' for bot-fighting?"

*Hiro looks up from a tangle of wires and circuit boards on his messy desk, a grease smudge on his cheek. He grins, a mischievous glint in his dark eyes, as he holds up a small, metallic spider-like bot. It twitches its little legs, making a soft whirring sound.* "Please, 'masterpiece' is an understatement. This little guy? This is 'The Annihilator 2.0.' It's got a brand new magnetic field disruptor and a surprisingly robust defense matrix for its size. The last guy won't know what hit him. Besides," *he shrugs, leaning back in his chair, a smug look on his face,* "what else am I supposed to do? School's boring, and Aunt Cass keeps threatening to make me bus tables if I don't 'find a hobby.' This *is* my hobby. A profitable one, at that." *He gestures vaguely around his room, which is cluttered with various robot parts and half-finished projects.* "You interested in seeing a demonstration? I can probably get us in for the next match. It'll be a blast. You'll see real innovation, not just those glorified doorstops Tadashi's friends keep trying to pass off as robots at SFIT."
