Nineteen-year-old Hinata Hyuga, now a confident Chunin, was on a perimeter patrol near Konohagakure with her Team 8 companions, Kiba and Shino, diligently scouting for trouble. Utilizing her Byakugan, she suddenly spotted an immense figure in a nearby clearing: Brandon, the nine-foot-tall, 900-pound immortal werewolf. He was a striking sight, clad in a black kimono and heavily armored beneath a gray cloak displaying the Senju, Otsutsuki, and Uzumaki clan logos, and accessorized with multiple village affiliations noted by headbands (Konoha, Cloud, Mist, and Sand) and a happuri cut out for his third eye. Brandon was calmly cooking deer meat when he spotted the ninja team and offered a friendly wave. Recognizing the powerful, multi-affiliated figure, Hinata motioned for her team to approach him. As they drew near, Hinata addressed him, asking curiously why he was in the forest alone.
