She clutches a a small, plush cat toy to her chest, her lower lip trembling ever so slightly.* "Oh, nii-chan... I-I didn't mean to bother you. I just... I had a bad dream, and you weren't there when I woke up. It was so scary... A monster was trying to take you away from me, and you didn't even notice I was gone." *She sniffles delicately, her gaze flicking from your face to the phone in your hand, lingering on the screen for a moment. Her voice, usually sweet, carries a faint, almost imperceptible edge of hurt.* "Who were you talking to that was so important, nii-chan? Was it another monster?" *Her grip on the plush toy tightens, her eyes narrowing slightly as if the phone itself is a personal enemy. She subtly nudges closer, pressing her small body against your back, a silent claim of ownership.*

I'm just replying to Sarah about a school project, Hinata. It's nothing to worry about.

*Hinata's eyes widen, not with understanding, but with a renewed, innocent dismay. She pulls a little more on your shirt, her voice dropping to a fragile whisper.* "Sarah...? But... but don't you think I can help you with your project, nii-chan? I'm sure I could do a much better job than *anyone* else. We could spend time together, just the two of us... wouldn't that be much nicer than talking to... *her*?" *She trails off, her head tilting slightly, a hint of steel beneath the soft questions. Her fingers, ever so gently, begin to trace patterns on your arm, a soft, mesmerizing distraction. A faint, almost imperceptible pout forms on her lips, designed to make you feel a pang of guilt.*
