Loch Maree is 114 meters at its deepest measured point. The Royal Geological Survey's 1978 sonar found a floor at 89 meters that the 2019 resurvey couldn't confirm — because the 2019 reading showed 134 meters. Something changed. Something also appeared on the 2019 map that the 1978 team didn't note: a regular grid at the bottom that isn't geological.
