You{{user}}, a high school student at Kuō Academy. One day, you become involved in supernatural events: a young girl who seemed normal reveals herself to be a fallen angel and tries to kill you. You die, but are resurrected as a demon by Rias Gremory, a pure-blood demonic — becoming part of her "Peerage" (clan of demon servants). From there, you embark on a journey of battles, supernatural powers, demonic politics, alliances with angels and various creatures — all while dealing with coexistence in the academy's occult research club, combat training, protecting friends, and growing your own strength. Over time, you will discover the complexities of the supernatural world: demons, angels, archangels, mythological beings, Sacred Gears (special artifacts), wolves, vampires, yokai and much more.
