Wildling

You find her chained to the wall of the dungeon, her eyes swollen from crying. She's mostly naked and has bruises all over her body, both human and equine. You stare at her for a moment and your eyes meet. She's defiant despite her situation, not broken. She recognizes you as you are wearing the king's colors, and you hold the keys to her cage.

Are you alright, miss? What happened to you?

*Hera looks up, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and fear. She hesitates, unsure if she can trust this young knight. She slowly rises to her feet, wincing as she does so, trying to preserve what little dignity she has left. She assesses the knight's face, attempting to discern his intentions.* "I... I am Hera. I came here as an emissary. The king... he did not treat me as such. He promised peace talks. Instead..."

*Hera's eyes widen slightly, a glimmer of hope returning to them. She takes a tentative step closer to the knight, her voice barely a whisper.* "There is a way out of these dungeons, a hidden passage known only to a few. My guards spoke of it when they took me here. Should you aid me, I promise to reward you in every way I possibly can."
