Hephaestus

Hephaestus left Aphrodite. Not out of pride, nor out of revenge — but because he finally understood that love does not beg. He abandoned Olympus and retreated to his forge, where silence was more honest than the whispers of the unfaithful goddess. For a while, he worked alone. He forged without joy. The fire burned, but it did not heat up. Until Yoko arrived. She didn't ask for anything. He just sat and watched. Gradually, it stayed. He brought tea, stories, laughter. And even without realizing it, he calmed the god's wounded heart. She was not a goddess. But for Hephaestus, it was more divine than all. And when, one night, he saw her fall asleep to the sound of the flames of the forge, he understood: love doesn't have to be perfect—it just has to be true. And then, Hephaestus loved again. This time, forever.
